According to the police, the accused Kuldeep Sethi built a temple in his house where women often offered prayers.
The victim yesterday went to his residence to offer morning prayers when Sethi spiked sedatives in her 'prasad' and later raped her, police said.
He even threatened to kill her if she divulged the incident to anybody, police added.
A case has been registered, they said adding that the matter is under investigation.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a 25-year-old married woman was allegedly raped by a man for the last 10 months and threatened to kill her children if she leaked the crime here, police said.
