4 juveniles apprehended for attack on 74-year-old businessman

Four juveniles have been apprehended for trying to kill a 74-year-old businessman in Maurya Enclave area of northwest Delhi earlier this week, police said today.
According to police, the juveniles attacked Hari Kishan Gupta, when he objected to their creating ruckus in a park. Gupta deals in wheat business and runs his office from Naya Bazar area in Chandni Chowk.
Police said that when Gupta had gone to the nearby park for a morning walk, he spotted the four juveniles who were creating nuisance in the park. At this, he tried to persuade them not to make noise but they got angry and began to argue with him.
The argument soon turned ugly and in a fit of rage, all the four juveniles picked up wooden sticks and thrashed him, causing severe injuries all over his body including on his head. The juveniles then fled the spot leaving behind the victim in a pool of blood.
Later, someone noticed the senior citizen and made a PCR call. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is undergoing treatment and his condition is stated to be critical.
Meanwhile, police lodged a case under section 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC and started the investigation. Following several raids, police managed to apprehend all the four juveniles from the area after which they were sent to a child observation house.
