Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore said in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha the advisories were issued last month.
According to the minister, 'NDTV India' was served a showcause notice over the content of a programme based on the hanging of Menon after which an advisory was issued on June 1.
'NDTV 24x7' was issued a showcause over the content of its programme - Truth vs Hype - the riddle of Yakub Memon followed by an advisory on June 1.
Advisories were issued to these two channels on June 7, according to the minister.
