However, their five other accomplices managed to escape, SSP Swapnil Mamgai said.
Following a tip-off, a police team nabbed the five accused form Chhatikara Parkham road, he said.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to have looted four people recently, the officer said.
They used to allure people by putting advertisements of selling cars at throwaway prices on OLX and then loot the unsuspecting customers by assaulting them, the SSP said.
"Three country-made pistols, three motorbikes and two knives and Rs 1.1 lakh cash, were seized from them," Mamgai said.
