Rohit (20) was killed after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a jeep late last night. His brother Deenanath and nephew Arun were injured in teh incident, police said.
Demanding ex-gratia and action against jeep driver, the local residents kept the body on the road at Jai Nagar crossing today.
When police attempted to pacify the mob and clear the blockade, the local residents started brick batting in which two policemen were injured, SP Ajay Sahni said.
Police said the injured were being treated at the district hospital.
An FIR has been lodged and 16 persons have been arrested so far, police said, adding the situation is under control.
