Dinesh Shantaram Maku Madavi (25), Mangesh Raju Yera Madavi (24), Savita Tumreti (21), all carrying a reward of Rs 2 lakhs on their heads, as well as Vasant Vadde (23) and Ravi Gota (25), both carrying a reward of Rs 4 lakhs, surrendered before Gadchiroli police yesterday, an official release issued here by police said.
Gadchiroli Superintendent of Police Avinash Deshmukh said more naxals may surrender in near future.
A total of 44 naxalites have surrendered this year.
All the five surrendered rebels were involved in a number of naxal-related crimes, police encounter and arson, the release added.
