50-year-old farmer found murdered in Muzaffarnagar

A 50-year-old farmer, who was missing since the last two days, was found murdered near Barwala village under Shahpur police station in the district, police said today.
Pertipal's body was found yesterday with some serious injury marks caused by sharp weapons, they said, adding it has been sent for post-mortem.
A case has been registered against unidentified assailants in this connection, police said.
In a separate incident, a 52-year-old carpenter, identified as Omperkash, was allegedly murdered by unidentified persons when he was asleep at his house in Antiwara village under Khatoli police station in the district yesterday, Circle officer, DK Mittal told reporters here.
It is suspected to be a case of old enmity, he said, adding further investigations are on, he said.
In another incident, a farmer, identified as Ranbir (45), who had gone to irrigate his fields on Friday, was allegedly abducted by unidentified men at the Bhokaheri village in the district, police said.
A search operation has been launched, they said, adding a case has been registered against unknown persons in this regard.
