7 die in accident when returning from burning ghat
They died on the spot when the lorry overturned after the driver lost control and fell in a ditch at about 10.30 pm.
The police said they came from Polba in nearby Hoogly district to cremate a body at a burning ghat beside Damodar river at Jamalpur.
The injured people were admitted to Burdwan Medical College and Hospital.
