At least seven persons, including a woman, were injured in a group clash over the beating of a dog at Kakrala village under Khatauli police station here, police said today.
Circle Officer Rajive Kumar Singh said Rinu singh and Kapil Balmiki were confronted by locals yesterday evening for thrashing a dog belonging to one Ritu Singh.
However, the confrontation soon turned into a violent clash in which lathies were used. Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
The clash was between two groups of the same community, said a police official, adding that one person was arrested in this connection.
