7 kg of gold bars worth Rs 2.5 cr seized

Seven kilos of gold bars valued at Rs 2.75 crore in the international market were seized today by DRI officials from three passengers at the airport here,
Acting on a tip-off, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials intercepted the trio,who arrived here from Singapore on an Air India flight this afternoon, they said.
They were taken to a separate frisking area and their baggage was checked, which revealed the gold bars kept inside, they said.
