7 policemen injured in mob attack, case against 40 people

A five-year-old girl was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Sikanderpur town today, an incident which triggered protest by locals who pelted stones at policemen injuring seven of them.
Superintendent of Police Anees Ansari said that Sundari was killed after being by hit by a vehicle in the town leading to the protests.
Locals clashed with the police and pelted stones at them injuring seven of them. Later, police used force to control the situation, he said.
The SP said that a case has been registered against 15 named and 25 unidentified persons, of which five have been arrested.
