The Haryana government today suspended seven officers and officials for "neglecting" complaints lodged on 'CM Window', a web portal launched for redressal of citizens' grievances.
Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rakesh Gupta ordered the suspension of seven officers and officials of the Development and Panchayat and Medical Education and Research departments, said an official release.
He also ordered issuance of chargesheets to eight officers and officials, demanded explanation from two officers and one official, initiated disciplinary action against three government employees and dismissed a contractual employee.
Gupta also said action would be taken against those misusing the portal by lodging false complaints to harass the officials.
The developments came at a meeting to review the functioning of 'CM Window', which was presided by Gupta.
Those suspended include Rajender Prasad, Chief Medical Officer, Medical Education and Research Department, posted in Jagadhri, for allegedly submitting a "misleading" report to the state government on a private nursing school at Gohana in Sonipat district.
Besides, Gupta directed that suspension orders be issued and FIRs registered against Ramesh Hooda, Junior Engineer, Development and Panchayat Department, posted at Madina Gindran in Rohtak district, and Gram Sachiv Suman for allegedly misusing government funds.
Directions were also issued for the suspension of Junior Engineer Mahesh Kumar and Gram Sachivs Bhagat Singh, Sunil Kumar and Dharambir for "dereliction of duty".
Gupta ordered issuance of chargesheets to three market secretaries of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board -- Chander Prakash, Paramjit Singh and Balraj Singh -- for allegedly committing irregularities and negligence in the auction of a plot.
He said a 'satisfaction' column was introduced on 'CM Window', where complainants could give their feedback.
Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister Bhupeshwar Dayal said action should be taken on all the complaints received on 'CM Window'.
"People have faith in the system and the government would have to meet their expectations," he added.
