Seventy-year-old Pushpa Seth, a resident of Chakraberia Road died after a private bus of route no 212 lost control and hit the woman on Sarat Bose Road near Paddapukur Road crossing under Bhawanipur Police Station area, police said.
Seth was rushed to a nearby nursing home where she was declared brought dead, police said adding that search for the bus, which fled soon after the incident, was on.
