The woman, who lived alone, was found in an unconscious condition at her house by her neighbours at Chavara in Kollam district yesterday, police said.
She was admitted to the Medical College Hospital here where she died later. A post-mortem conducted on her body revealed that she was molested, hospital sources said.
Investigations were on to trace the person who molested the woman, police said.
