Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Bikash Das, contesting from Cuttack Lok Sabha seat, has filed a complaint alleging harassment by a police inspector during campaigning for the April 17 polls, police said.
Das in his petition to the Returning Officer (RO) and Cuttack collector has alleged that an inspector of the Kanpur police station of the Badamba Assembly has harassed him and his party workers by detaining them for more than two hours during campaigning yesterday, they said.
In his complaint to the RO, Das also alleged that the police officer prevented him and his supporters from campaigning, accusing them of not possessing the requisite permission to do so.
