"It has been desired by the Chief Minister and me that NMDC may grant ex-gratia payment of Rs 11,000 to all regular employees on the previous pattern. NDMC may accordingly bring in the necessary agenda before the council for approval," Singh, who is a council member by virtue of being Delhi Cantonment MLA, said in his letter.
"Apart from this, it is also proposed that the agenda may also include distribution of sweets to the employees or any other amount in compensation of sweets," he added.
Surender, however, demanded that sweets be distributed or some amount be given to employees for the same.
Meanwhile, a council meeting of NDMC which was scheduled today could not take place because of being short of quorum.
