AAP, Swaraj India intensify MCD polls campaigning

Yogendra Yadav-led Swaraj India today started its campaign for the upcoming civic polls in Delhi with the launch of the party's first roadshow here.
Also, a number of AAP MLAs, along with the candidates, today held street corner meetings at several place and addressed the volunteers.
The Arvind Kejriwal-led party also inaugurated some election offices, it said in a press release.
AAP said that it has 248 candidates campaigning on the ground. "Today, with the Mass Contact Sunday, AAP's MCD election campaign has truly begun," it added.
The party claimed that in the last tow days, meetings have been held with door-to-door teams and candidates in which their performance was assessed and suggestions were given.
This entire exercise is expected to be over by the first week of April, the party said.
Meanwhile, Yadav launched the Swaraj India's road show in outer Delhi, from Bijwasan.
The road shows and bike rallies were carried out by the party volunteers in several parts of the national capital.
During the campaign, Yadav attacked the BJP and the PM, AAP and the Congress party.
In the upcoming elections, the party is beginning its electoral journey and is contesting all the 272 seats.
