Islamic State jihadist Abdelhamid Abaaoud, killed by French police in a raid in Paris, was implicated in four of six foiled attacks in France this year, Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said today.
"Six attacks were avoided or foiled by the French services since spring 2015. Abaaoud was implicated in four of them," Cazeneuve told reporters, shortly after the jihadist's death was confirmed by the prosecutors' office. Abaaoud was considered the mastermind of Friday's attacks in Paris that left 129 dead.
