The market value of the assets is pegged at around Rs nine crore.
A case was registered against B Chandulal on credible information that he has acquired and is in possession of disproportionate assets to his known sources of income, the probe agency stated in a release.
Simultaneous searches were conducted today at his residence here and other places in Warangal, Karimnagar and Mahabubnagar districts, in pursuance of search warrants issued by a local court, it said.
His house at Warangal is yet to be searched and two bank lockers in Warangal are yet to be opened, the release said.
So far it is found that the accused officer is in possession of assets worth about Rs 2.6 crore, whose market value is about Rs 9 crore.
