The incident which took place yesterday was raised in the assembly by BJP MLA Sudhakar Bhalerao and said that the girl, was studying in class V at a resident ashram school in Kadgaon village in Latur and belonged to Matang community.
She was raped allegedly by two of her teachers and succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
"Police conducted the panchnama and the hospital did the post mortem without informing the family. Since yesterday the dead body is in hospital and is not being handed over to the family," Bhalerao informed the House.
He said stern action would be taken against those found guilty behind the heinous act.
Yashomati Thakur (Congress) said such incidents happen in rural areas but are not all reported. She demanded capital punishment for the culprits.
