ADPO, 2 others die in separate accidents

Additional District Programme Officer (ADPO) was among the three people who died in separate road mishaps in Ramgarh and neighbouring Ranchi district during the last 24 hours, the Police today said.
The victim Ranjana Ray had assumed office as ADPO in the state education department in Ramgarh only yesterday and while returning to Ranchi in her SUV, a heavy vehicle crossed the four-lane divider and dashed her on NH-33 under Ramgarh city police station on Thursday evening, the Police said adding Ray was killed on the spot.
M Tamilvanan, Superintendent of Police, said the ADPO was on her way to Ranchi when the accident happened and she died on the spot.

In an another incident, Pawan Kishore Pandey alias Bablu Pandey, son of Late Kameshwar Pandey of Patratu, died in a road mishap on Ramgarh-Ranchi via Patratu highway under Pithoria police station in Ranchi district yesterday evening.
A home guard jawan, Prem Nath Mahato of village Gobindpur under Barlanga police station of Ramgarh district also died in a road mishap on NH-23 under Gola police station today.
Mahato was on his motorcycle when he was dashed by a speeding vehicle, the Police said.
