Acting on a tip-off, police nabbed Des Raj and Dalbir Chand along with the drums of adulterated oil in Mahilpur area in the district, they said.
During interrogation, the duo revealed that they used to adulterate edible oils of various brands and sold them in the wholesale market in Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Patiala, Amritsar and some other cities of the state.
Besides the oil, two large cauldrons, two working furnaces, huge quantity of caustic soda and some other utensils were also seized from their possession, police added.
