Advocate K C Mittal is chairperson of Bar Council of Delhi

Advocate K C Mittal has been elected chairperson of the Bar Council of Delhi, an autonomous lawyers' body set up under the Advocates Act.

While Mittal bagged the post of chairperson, advocate D K Singh was elected vice-chairperson on July 29 and the results were notified by the Delhi government on August 3.

Advocate Ved Prakash Sharma was elected as the new representative to the Bar Council of India.

The poll to elect the lawyers body's office bearers was held on July 28.

Mittal had held the position of chairperson between 2001 and 2003 as well. He was also the president of the Delhi High Court Bar Association between 2007 and 2009.
