Being set up for manufacture of aerospace components, maintenance and repair services for avionics, the venture got the approval in May, the state government said in an official release today.
Work for providing basic infrastructure facilities like roads, street lights, storm water drain in the over 245 acre facility will begin soon at an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore.
Industries Minister MC Sampath and top government officials inspected the ongoing work at aerospace park located in the SIPCOT Vallam-Vadagal Industrial Park today.
The minister also reviewed works on a truck terminal, set up at a cost of Rs 10.8 crore, at the Industrial Park.
Jayalalithaa had already announced that an Advanced Computing and Design Centre will be set up in the aerospace park.
