"I am unable to come to the Iftar party due to a sudden illness though it is my wish to participate in it (organised by AIADMK) as usual," Jayalalithaa said in her address which was read out by Finance Minister and party treasurer O Panneerselvam in the event.
"Although I am unable to participate, my thoughts are about the Iftar party, I have asked Panneerselvam to read out my address to share my thoughts with you," she said in the address.
Conveying her Ramadan greetings, she said the teachings of the Prophet should continuously be followed.
Chairman, Tamil Nadu Wakf Board, A Tamilmagan Hussain, AIADMK minorities wing secretary and Lok Sabha MP, A Anwar Razza, leaders of Shia, Sunni denominations and Prince of Arcot, Mohammed Ali, leaders of alliance parties SK Tamilarasan, (Indiya Kudiyarasu Katchi) and R Sarathkumar (All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi) were among those participated.
