: The AIMIM party Monday complained to the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer against BJP candidate T Raja Singh Lodh for allegedly making objectionable remarks against its leader Akbaruddin Owaisi and the Muslim community at large.
AIMIM MLC Syed Amin-ul-Hasan Jafri, in the complaint, said Singh, the BJP candidate from Goshamahal constituency in the city, was violating the provisions of Representation of the People's Act and specific sections of the IPC through the reported statements which, he said, were made to a section of the media.
The AIMIM leader requested the Chief Electoral Officer to initiate appropriate action against BJP and also its candidate Singh for making the objectionable statements as they seek to promote 'enmity and ill-will' within different groups.
