AINRC chief N Rangasamy today demanded the resignation of the Narayanasamy-led Congress government in Puducherry for its 'failure' to maintain law and order and deliver on its promises.
It is amusing to note that Chief Minister V Narayanasamy had sought Lt Governor Kiran Bedi's resignation on moral grounds, when the government headed by him had been 'failing' the people on several counts, he told reporters here.
"Will not the people demand the resignation of the Congress government for its failure to maintain law and order and tackle unemployment problem," the former chief minister asked.
Rangasamy said the Chief Minister was accusing the Lt Governor of putting obstacles in implementation of schemes, though the truth was that he (Narayanasamy) was not capable of addressing the concerns of the people at large.
"There is no point in blaming the Lt Governor for anything and everything. The failure of the ministry to deliver on its promises has caused a chaotic situation and the government should take responsibility and resign," he added.
A delegation of All-India N Rangasamy Congress would soon meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi and submit a memorandum on the law and order situation in Puducherry, he said.
