Public broadcaster All India Radio (AIR) today started a new programme through which people from all walks of life can send their wishes and greetings to soldiers guarding the borders.
In a statement, AIR said that it has started a daily programme for #Sandesh2Soldiers on FM Rainbow and FM Gold channels.
It is being aired twice daily and will be aired till October 30.
"This programme is based on Prime Narendra Modi's clarion call to send diwali greetings to the soldiers and make them realise how important bhartiya jawans are for us. This is an endeavour to salute their bravery and pay respect to their devotion towards the country's security and honour," the AIR said in a statement.
Those who wish to send their wishes to the army can also write message on postcards and send it, the broadcaster said.
