The joint venture, Air Works Nepal, would aim at expanding the parent company's footprint in neighbouring countries and offer its clients best services in the region, Air Works said in a statement.
As part of the tie-up, Air Works would extend its technical capabilities from India to help set up operations in Kathmandu, while Yaksa would contribute towards liaison with local regulatory authorities, sourcing of local engineering and managerial talent and business development, it said.
Yaksa Investment Chairman Surendra B Malla expressed confidence about the business prospects of the new venture, saying it would "provide on the spot, cost effective line maintenance services to airline operators flying to and from Kathmandu as well as airline operators within Nepal, keeping with its legacy of providing total customer safety and satisfaction for airlines".
