In a statement here, All India Youth Federation President R Sajilal and Secretary Mahesh demanded that the LDF government not 'bow to the pressure' of Self-Financing Private medical college managements.
They pointed out that fees for clinical PG courses had been hiked from Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 14 lakh and for non-clinical courses, from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 8.5 lakh.
"The increase is double fold and is in deviation to the declared policy of LDF', the statement said.
Congress led UDF Opposition has been on an agitational path over the issue, taking up the matter in the onoing assembly session.
