"The CM has sent two letters to the PM highlighting delay in execution of power generation projects by BHEL and grant of coal linkage to proposed 660MW Harduaganj Extension thermal power project", official sources said here.
In his letter, the CM has requested the Prime Minister to issue directions to the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries and Coal to cooperate and help resolve the problem of shortage of power supply .
Pointing to alleged laxity on the part of BHEL in implementation of Harduaganj Extension (500MW), Parichha Extension (500 MW) and Anpara-'D' (1000 MW), the CM said Anpara-'D' project, which was scheduled to be operational in July last year, is still pending.
All these projects belong to state sector and were awarded to BHEL on the basis of single offer, the letter said.
Similarly, refurbishment and modernisation work of Obra-B (5x200 MW), 100 MW Unit 7 of Obra and 110 MW Unit 7 of Harduaganj has also been delayed considerably, he pointed. MORE
