Amelio Childcare plans to set up additional facility

Childcare firm Amelio is in talks with Mahindra World City SEZ at Singaperumal Koil near here to set up an additional facility.

At the Mahindra World City SEZ, Amelio has a childcare facility to take care of 75 children, a company statement said.

"With more mothers wanting to pursue their professional career, we are clearly seeing large influx of children into our childcare facility," Amelio Childcare Co-Founder, Raghavan Jawahar said.

Consequently, we are currently in talks with Mahindra World City to expand the childcare centre there. We are hoping to set up an additional facility within Mahindra World City that will take the capacity to over 125 children, he said.

Amelio Childcare established its facility at Siruseri with a capacity to take care of 170 children. The company has close to 15 childcare centres in the city.

While Mahindra World City would provide the facility, Amelio would manage it in terms of infrastructure, recruiting and training the teachers, the statement added.
