Amethi Cong activists pay rich tributes to Rajiv

Congress activists in Amethi paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 71st birth anniversary today.
In all 16 blocks of Amethi district, Congress organised events and remembered Rajiv for his contribution to the development of the country.
Rajiv represented Amethi in Parliament from 1981 to 1991 when he was assassinated.
The district-level programme was organised at the Congress office in Gauriganj and was presided by district president Yogendra Mishra. Chandrakant Dubey, the representative of Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi, attended the programme.
On the occasion, eye check-up camps were organised in Chandauki and Kamla Nagar in the Gauriganj Assembly constituency.
