Amritsar coldest in Punjab, Haryana

At 6.3 degrees Celsius, Amritsar was the coldest place in Punjab and Haryana today, even as minimum temperatures in both states continued to hover above normal level.
UT Chandigarh recorded a low of 11.2 deg C, up by four degrees above normal, MeT department report said here.
Maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 26.3 deg C, up by two degrees above normal.
Among other places in Punjab, Amritsar had low of 6.3 deg C, up by a degree above normal. Ludhiana and Patiala recorded low at 10.8 deg C and 11.1 deg C respectively, rising by up to three notches above normal.
In Haryana, Ambala had a low of 12.3 deg C, four degrees above normal while Bhiwani, Hisar and Karnal recorded minimum at 10.2 deg C, 12 deg C and 10.5 deg C respectively.
Narnaul's minimum settled of 11 deg C, three notches above normal.
Maximum temperatures in both Punjab and Haryana hovered between 25 deg C to about 28 deg C.
Weathermen have predicted sunny days while mist may occur at some places in Punjab and Haryana in next 24 hours.
