AMU Study centre to start classes from next session

The Aligarh Muslim University will start classes in some courses from next session beginning later this year at its study centre in Bihar's Kishanganj district, an official said today.
"The classes in some courses like law and management will start from the next academic session beginning later this year," AMU Vice-Chancellor Lt General Zameeruddin Shah told reporters here.
He was here to review infrastructure at the proposed AMU study centre.
Shah enquired about availability of buildings which could be hired for starting classes till the AMU constructs its own campus for the study centre.
The AMU VC thanked the state government for providing 224 acre land in Kishanganj district for setting up the study centre for providing higher education infrastructure to the minorities' students.

He said that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed campus of the AMU study centre will be completed in the next two months and the work will start thereafter.
Union Urban Development minister Deepa Dasmunshi and Congress MP Maulana Asrarul Haque accompanied the VC on his Kishanganj visit.
