AMU's Vice Chancellor rpt Vice Chancellor Zameeruddin Shah has constituted a special committee for setting up of such schools in every district of the state as part of the university's plans to celebrate bicentennial birth anniversary of its founder Sir Syed Ahmad Khan in 2017, spokesperson Rahat Abrar said today.
"These schools would be established under the CBSE Board and would be open to children of all communities. Muslim community members would, however, get some reservation as they are still lagging behind in the field of education," Abrar said.
The first school would start functioning at Jaula village in Muzaffarnagar district from August this year, he said.
There are 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh.
