Faced with the challenge of building the state of Andhra Pradesh after Telangana was carved out last year, Naidu has been making all out efforts to bring more investments and global companies into his state.
"Off to a 3-day trip to Davos. Looking forward to attending interesting sessions at @wef. Will unveil my vision for our Sunrise State," Naidu, who will attend the event as a special invitee, said on Twitter.
The tech-savvy Chief Minister, who is credited for making Hyderabad (which is now part of Telangana) an information technology hub, is visiting Davos after a gap of more than a decade.
Naidu would be addressing a special session on 'Investment in Andhra Pradesh' being organised by the state government.
He would also have bilateral meetings with industrialists, businessmen and experts from different fields on the sidelines of the conference, that officially starts from January 21.
Besides, Naidu would be a special guest at a session on 'Future of Urban Development' along with ministers from various countries and CEOs of major corporations. He would be participating as a special guest at a session on 'Japan, Vision for Tomorrow: Learning for Structural Challenges' besides "Japan Night," being hosted by the Japanese delegation.
Naidu, during his previous stint as Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh between 1995 and 2004, was a regular participant in the summit and had moderated many sessions.
WEF President Klaus Schwab has specially invited Naidu along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The two chief ministers are part of a high-level Indian delegation that includes Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Power Minister Piyush Goyal.
Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Andhra's Special Representative in New Delhi Kambhampati Ramamohan Rao and senior bureaucrats would accompany Naidu on his Davos trip.
