Chandrababu on the occasion garlanded the statue of Raju located at Satyanarayanam Puram this morning.
Addressing the gathering, he said that his government will talk to the Centre to install a statue of the freedom fighter in the Parliament House premises in Delhi.
The CM said he has instructed Lok Sabha MP from Vijayawada, Kesineni Srinivas to take the responsibility for it.
Born on July 4, 1898, Raju led revolutionary movement called 'Rampa revolt' against the British to protect the interests of tribals from East Godavari and Visakhapatnam districts between 1922 and 1924.
