Nadda met Naidu before they started for Mangalagiri near here for the foundation stone laying ceremony of the upcoming All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), an official release said.
In the meeting, Naidu asked for a grant of Rs 1,098 cr to improve the infrastructure in government medical colleges, in order to meet the norms prescribed by the Medical Council of India (MCI) to increase the seats, it said.
He also sought Rs 100 cr for the upgradation of the psychiatry hospital at Visakhapatnam, it said.
The Chief Minister also appealed Nadda to approve a National Pharmaceutical Education and Research Centre at Visakhapatnam, and trauma care centres for all districts, the release added.
