Ahead of counting of votes for elections held to Lok Sabha and undivided Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on May 16, the results of local body polls would be announced in the state.
Vote counting for urban and rural local bodies would be taken up tomorrow and day after.
The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission (SEC) has made arrangements for counting of votes for municipal bodies tomorrow, followed by Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs) and Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTCs) on May 13, SEC sources said today.
The much-delayed MPTC and ZPTC elections were held ahead of general elections (in April), but the counting would be taken up this week owing to legal issues.
