The reconstituted GoM comprises: minister for medical education, minister for health and family welfare, minister for panchayat raj, minister for municipal administration, municipal tribal welfare and minister for women development, child welfare, a Government Order (GO) issued by the Chief Secretary said.
The GoM would review the status of malaria and H1N1 in tribal areas and the steps taken to bring the situation under control, it said.
Principal Secretary (Health, Medical and Family Welfare) would act as the convener of the panel.
The reconstitution of the committee came in the wake of a rise in malaria cases in tribal areas and also H1N1, especially in the Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and other coastal districts.
The previous GoM was constituted in 2010 after number of deaths were reported from across the state following H1N1.
