The 23-year-old "Into You" hitmaker will take the stage with Minaj to perform their collaboration, "Side by Side," from Grande's most recent album, "Dangerous Woman," reported Entertainment Tonight.
"When you take the stage at the VMAs you step into another world. It's not just a performance, it's a statement," Grande said in a promo video for the awards.
Grande and the "Anaconda" rapper join previously announced performers Britney Spears with G-Eazy, Nick Jonas, Future and Rihanna.
Meanwhile, MTV also named some of the stars, who will appear during the show, including Kim Kardashian West, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Alicia Keys, Ansel Elgort, Bebe Rexha, Fifth Harmony, Jaden Smith, Shameik Moore and Tove Lo.
