Arms, ammunitions like those used in attack in Samba: Wani

Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Inspector General of Police A A Wani today said the arms and ammunitions used in the attack on Dina Nagar police station and the bus, the way it was carried out it indicates that the militants involved may have links with Pakistan-based Laskar-e-Taiba.
He said that attack that was carried on Dina Nagar was similar to the one that was carried out on the police station and Army camp in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
The militants have chosen the same time as they attacked the police station in Jammu and Kashmir early in the morning which indicates these militants may had links with the Laskar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based militant outfit, Wani told reporters after taking the stock to situation of encounter site.

The actual picture would be cleared following the report of GPS system, he added.
The DIG (Samba-Kathua range) further said that the chances of infiltration by militants may increase in the rainy season as inflow of rivers and their tributaries increase many folds and damages the fencing wire on the Indo-Pak international border, "but security force and police would not allow them to succeed in their mission."
He stressed on the need to better coordination between the police of Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir in an order to maintain law and order situation in two border states.
He also inspected the arms and ammunitions recovered from the killed terrorists.
