Army aircraft makes forced landing in Shillong

A micro-light aircraft of Indian Army had to make a forced landing today on a hillock close to the Shillong Advance Landing Ground here.
Two jawans, who were on a routine training flight, were rescued safely following the incident, a defence statement said here. There was no loss of civilian life or damage to property, it added.
Further investigation will be carried out to ascertain the cause behind the incident, it said.
