On receipt of specific intelligence about presence of a likely militant hideout in the dense forests of Gallu of Doda District, a joint operation was launched by Rashtriya Rifle and Police teams, a senior Army officer said.
The hideout was busted and a Baretta pistol along with three magazines, two magazines of AK-47, one magazine of 7.62 mm SLR and around 502 rounds of assorted ammunition were recovered from there, he said.
The Army officer said relentless efforts of the security forces would defeat the nefarious designs of the terrorists to derail the peace process in the region.
