The certificates were presented by Army chief Gen. Bipin Rawat's wife and Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) president Madhulika Rawat at the second skill certification ceremony here.
"Our efforts are for empowerment of women in real sense. Every day, we are trying to make a better future under different programmes run by the government and AWWA," Rawat said.
The centre runs aspiration-based skill courses for Army spouses and wards in four categories -- data entry operator, assistant beauty therapist, sewing machine operator and block printing.
The initiative aims at enabling and empowering Army spouses, wards and widows with care, compassion and empathy to enhance their true self-worth and become an integral part of the nation's skilled human resource, a statement said.
