Digital games developer GSN Games, a joint venture of Sony Pictures and AT&T Entertainment, today announced the appointment of Arun Dutta as the country manager for India.
"GSN Games India has redefined what an India-led game studio can accomplish, and we look forward to reaching new levels of success with Arun at the helm," GSN Chief Operating Officer Steve Brunell said in a statement.
The studio is based in Bengaluru and is actively recruiting for more than 60 positions across engineering, quality assurance, product management, analytics and art.
Dutta will be responsible for driving the company's growth, leading product development and engineering teams for GSN Games India across all business lines.
Before joining GSN Games, Dutta served as Country Head, Global Technology Services and India Operations of Nasdaq listed Cornerstone OnDemand, a cloud-based learning and talent management software firm.
Dutta has spent two decades in senior leadership roles, overseeing product management and engineering functions with companies such as Danaher Corporation and Hewlett-Packard.
"I am honoured to lead GSN Games India, a prestigious company which is a part of Sony Pictures and was built from the entrepreneurial roots of Bash Gaming. I look forward to maximising our current opportunities, strengthening local innovations and contributing to the growth of the company," Dutta said.
Founded in 2010 and acquired by GSN Games in 2014 as Bash Gaming, GSN Games India is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment and AT&T Entertainment Group.
