Ashiana partners Shriram Properties for residential project

Realty firm Ashiana Housing has tied up with Bengaluru-based Shriram Properties to develop a housing project in Kolkata.
In a filing to the BSE, Ashiana Housing said "the company has entered into a development agreement with Bengal Shriram Hi Tech City Pvt Ltd (a group company of Shriram Properties Ltd), for development of senior living and regular housing project on a piece of land measuring 19.72 acres".
The entire project would have a total saleable area of about 18 lakhs sq ft, it added.
In February this year, Ashiana Housing had raised Rs 200 crore from global investors Goldman Sachs and Creador through qualified institutional placement(QIP).
Delhi-based Ashiana Housing focuses on the development of homes for senior citizens. It has projects in Jaipur, Bhiwadi, Sohna-Gurgaon, Neemrana, Chennai, Kolkata and Jamshedpur. That apart, it is developing homes in Lavasa township project.
