Through this agreement, Ashok Leyland would offer course modules including training of students and certification, the Chennai-based company said in a statement here today.
"This accreditation will make young people entering the business more competitive by offering them a structured curriculum that integrates industry needs with emerging trends and offer hands-on training.
"We are proud of this association and in collaboration with the Council, we will offer many more programmes that benefit the automotive sector," Ashok Leyland Executive Director (Human Resources) N V Balachandar said.
At its Pantnagar facility, Ashok Leyland has trained nearly 1,000 students in manufacturing operations, the statement added.
