Acting on a complaint of one Rajesh Kumar, a team of Vigilance Investigation Bureau laid a trap and nabbed Assistant Engineer, Brija Singh of Building Construction Department while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 near new police line area.
The Engineer had sought the amount for clearing a bill of Rs 4,76,310 against a work done by the complainant in the department.
Rajesh Kumar had lodged a complaint with the Vigilance Bureau following which a trap was laid under leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Kanishka Kumar and the Engineer was nabbed accepting money from him, a Vigilance Investigation Bureau release said.
